Helsingør Tennis Klub har pr. 1. maj ansat Andrew Burgess. Han skal i samarbejde med Jonas Svendsen stå for træning og udvikling af klubbens turnerings- og elitespillere.
Klubben glæder sig meget til det kommende samarbejde med en kapacitet som Andrew og forventer at det kan være med til at løfte niveauet for klubbens turnerings- og elitespillere.
Yderligere skal Andrew være med til at udvikle og søsætte kommunens og tennisklubbens visioner om det elitære samarbejde over Øresund, ”Team HH”.

Andrews title is ”Athletic Development and Elite Performance Specialist”. A mentor to athletes and fellow coaches, Andrew has worked with people to realize their full potential both on and off the court.
Having qualified as a tennis coach by age 17, Andrew spent his early days training in the Midlands, UK. In 2000, he began his apprenticeship in elite performance coaching under Peter D. McCraw of the prestigious IMG Bollettieri TennisAcademy.
His career continued at Europe’s largest tennis academy, the world renowned Academia Sanchez-Casal in Barcelona, where he mastered the “Spanish Method” and was quickly promoted to Head of Player Development, working alongside founder Emilio Sanchez to maintain the academy as a world leader.
The Academy has helped develop Top 10 players such as Svetlana Kuznetsova and Andy Murray. Since then, Andrew has been a consultant to many people and organizations, an expanding list that includes Tennis Australia, Israel Tennis Centre and, more recently, a project redeveloping the Brazilian Tennis Federation.
In 2009 Andrew settled in Boston as the Director of Bosse Performance, where he specializes in children’s athletic evaluation and development. He has a working relationship with New England USTA and recently started working with Harvard College.
Andrew’s also a New Balance ambassador and continues to coach and manage the development of many players and athletes.
